    I really think consulting with people for what happens in their neighborhood is incredibly important.

    Unless the neighborhood makes over a certian amount or it's for community good (like affordable/public housing). Fuck these people.

      Some of these projects are practically designed to fail.

      Lower-income residents: "We need affordable housing."

      Neoliberal swing-vote elected official: "Sure. Lets find the cheapest, most remote piece of real estate in town and try to throw the minimal number of new units up for the smallest price tag."

      Local suburbanites who are handcuffed to car culture: "Noooooo! Not our local parking lot!"

      Neoliberal swing-vote elected official: "Sorry low-income residents. It appears the middle class has cucked you again. Whelp. Off to my high-dollar corporate fundraiser to bankroll the next electoral cycle."
