Basically the title.

And how important do you really think Android version updates are. I don't use my phone for a lot more than podcasts, instant messaging, and occasional browsing on Firefox mostly with JS disabled and ad-block on. I have a 3 year old Android 7 device that looks and works just fine and see no reason to upgrade

Huawei Y6. Cheap as hell and does everything a phone is supposed to do. And apparently it sends all my info directly to the CPC, so that's pretty cool.

My $50 Huawei is still rocking after two years of abuse. Battery is still good but Ibelieve the NSA spyware google puts in it slows it down more than any Chinese backdoors . Just hope someone is listening to me scream into the void at this point.

I used to be one of those "Get a new phone every year with the upgrade" kinds of people but I've been very happy with my One plus 7 for a while now, pretty much any phone made in the past couple years has enough decent specs that there's no reason to really upgrade. Maybe replace the battery every couple years and you are good.

I really want to move to Lineage or a custom rom without google services bs but they're deliberately fucking with safetynet so that custom ROMs don't run it, which means i'd be locked out of my banking apps. ugh

I'm awaiting my PostmarketOS Pinephone CE. I don't think it will be a daily driver for a while, but I'm trying very hard to get out of the Android/iOS ecosystems.

Currently using a Galaxy Note 9.

A three year old iPhone X with broken back glass. Still works perfectly, sometimes I have to charge it midway through the day, so maybe I’ll get a battery case or replace the battery.

My work issued phone is an iPhone 11 Pro but I don’t use it for anything besides work because of the remote management profile.

They're all botnets, might as well be good at other things while they're at it

Plus I hear GrapheneOS is amazing on Pixels

OnePlus 3T with LineageOS. I riced it up pretty nice, but the camera is shit and the battery is could use a replacement.

I'm using a Nokia 7 plus, I've had it for more than 2 years now and it does everything I need. Android 10, great camera with Google camera application, fast (Snapdragon 660) and relatively cheap (was around 250 to 300 US dollars when I bought it over two years ago). I wouldn't recommend buying one now new as you can probably get a better phone for the same price now.

Moto G7. It was cheap, had it for a year so far, and it works pretty well. A little slow sometimes, but whatever.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6. The mascot is cute. Updates are good but mobile platforms are also way better designed for security than general computer. I'm running MIUI 11 with Android 9.

LG G5. 2016. Retrofitted it with an LG Xpower battery for an upgrade to 4100 mAh. I have no problems with the phone and don't see a reason to upgrade.
