Hunting is ok and could be done sustainably(as many indigenous people did for thousands of years). Not that a capitalist system would encourage getting rid of an entire industry or doing anything at all sustainably.

Non vegans, just shut the fuck up if you aren't going to advocate an end to factory farming. It's not a thing that can be kept in any capacity. And that means people just won't be able to eat meat without a" synthetic" substitute. Lab steak might never match the texture of real sinew. Might end up being better and perfect every time. Even if lab meat just doesn't work out at all, doesn't really matter, we gotta stop farming for climate change reasons alone.

If your resistance to veganism is "they are annoying/insulting/offending me!" I would say yeah that's pretty reactionary. You are doing the capitalists/fed/cias job for them if all you do is talk about vegans and how annoying they are instead of what they are being anoyying about.

To my vegan comrades, lentils and rice are still grown by slaves. There is no ethical consumption. You have no real path to animal liberation within a system that doesn't even have human liberation yet.

I agree, but I find the argument a lot of vegans on here are using where they conflate the environmental necessity to reduce meat consumption with there personal moral hangups about the idea of eating meat pretty disingenuous.
