        Yes, I am a Communist.

Yes, I also just so happen to hate every single instance of Communism that has ever occurred.

        Yes, we exist.

There's a bit of decent discussion, but a lot of bad comments. Unless I'm fixating on the bad ones too much I dunno

The bad comments are getting dunked on pretty hard.

At the very least there's pushback on people just throwing out the word "tankie" whenever any defends anything outside the Western world, and also seems like people there are decently well-read in terms of theory. Saw one person even admit they didn't have any counter-argument and another person just went mask-off and straight-up admitted "tankie" is just what they call anyone who is an ML, lol.

Kind of disappointing that people are putting their political identity to negate the point of Hakim in that thread though, as if his political analysis and conclusion is the one in the incorrect dynamic despite him being from a country that was annihilated by foreign western genocidal aggression. I'm not a sectarianist but this is just offputting.

okay, i have to ask, how did this fuck wit rise to any degree of notoriety? What was happening that this guy became someone people listen to and believe in? Like, how? From where we are, there was a world before him, and then suddenly a world with him. What happened?

      Debate Bros are easy watching.

They make you feel good cos you feel like you just won an argument which means you're smarter than another person now. This releases chemicals into your brain.

Same reason with lib/fash like Destiny and conservatives like Ben Shapiro get popular. Not only do debate bros agree with you, but they shit on everyone you don't agree with. That's a twofer right there.

Of course he lacks any strict kind of ideology and it's easy to dunk on people who will defend China or whatever because it's so easy to just point at the closest atrocity the West is peddling and go "you support this, you fucking murderer" so it's easy to "win" debates.

He's an "anarchist" in the sense that he thinks being an anarchist means non-violence and that doing anything other than voting or dunking on right wingers on stream is violence.

Yeah, there are videos of creationist nutters just absolutely bodying evolutionists (is that the term? lol) because they just get the right jab in at the right time.

Their ideology is dumb dogshit but they "won" the debate because they were better at communicating their dumb idea.

Thats basically Ben Shapiro's whole thing. He researches the fuck out of something, finds every aspect he can use in his favor, then challenges some college kid who only has a laymens understanding of the topic. The college kids who hold their own in the debate dont end up in "Ben Shapiro DESTROYS liberals compilation #37", thus Ben is always the winner.

His whole claim to fame, besides the sex and saying the n-word, is being banned by Destiny for being too left. That's his own side of the story at least.

Yes I had a week where I watched this fucker unironically and I still feel bad.

As someone who used to watch him, he does fine with taking down nazis and other reactionaries, which is probably why he got such a following. But if you watch enough of his stuff, it’s pretty clear he views communists and “tankies” as being just as bad as fascists, which is just dumb af.

I don't want to be a "no true Scotsman" type but shoe0nhead like...is she really breadtube either? She's an ex-reactionary and at best a social democrat today. Tthere's a big step down between average breadtubers like Contra, Some More News, Shaun, Philosophy Tube etc and Vaush/shoe

She's an anti-idpol (in the sense that it can be weaponized by the neolibs) social democrat who likes the aesthetics of socialism without any of the icky ideology.

Basically she's Red Scare without the transphobia

Literally the exact same behaviour as your average chud. I know we've being saying he's a lib, but are we sure that he wasn't a conservative this whole time?
