The mods of /c/Literature have heard your complaints and we are announcing a new rule, the only rule, really.

From now on /c/Literature will no longer cover theory or any other genre except books for ages 0 - 48 months.

I hope this makes reading books a lot easier. We will be overhauling the Perusall repository to only include the following: coloring books, Baby's 100 words, Numbers, and Dr. Seuss Racist Limited Editions.

Know that the mods did not make this decision lightly, but we know reading theory is tough and this is the best solution.

Book request: a children's picture book where a kitten goes on an adventure and becomes a leftist by the end. :meow-fiesta:

You know what, children's media tends to be more leftish than stuff marketed towards adults since they still teach things like "sharing is good actually" and "it's important to care about others" and "look both ways before you cross the street (cars bad)" and "these trains are our friends" and "wouldn't it be neat to build and repair infrastructure for your community" and "you have nothing to lose but your chains" and stuff

Does this mean you will protect Dr Seuss from cancel culture?

What about Harry potter though, would you make an exception?

It’s a kids book about fighting evil! I feel it’s more formative to my politics than bible, you should reconsider this

I actually own this book lol. It's good, but there's this epilogue that switches from kid language to, like, high level theory language that I've never been able to get through. I'll also disclaimer that I'm a babby level commie so I'm not going to be like "oh this analogy to the Vietnamese revolution is historically inaccurate" or anything I just liked that it was easy to read and understand for my babby brain.

I distinctly remember a book called "Yummy Yucky" from my infancy. It was a book that changed my perspective on the world and I would highly recommend adding it to the reading list.
