That sounds super frustrating, do you have any idea why that might be? I know certain conditions like Raynauds or some medication can fuck with temperature perception.
Oh no worries, my partner described it to me that way as she gets pretty much the same symptoms in the heat that she gets in large crowds or noisy environments. Then we looked it up and other people (especially those with ASD) described it the same way!
It is interesting to see high heat and associated sweating as quite a powerful stimulus which often causes overstimulation particularly in people with neuro divergence. So sometimes it's not even a heat tolerance problem but an overstimulation problem which NTs seem to have a hard time understanding.
Also like others have said, perception of temperature changed is largely dependent on where your current baseline is.

Indica vs Sativa is most definitely bullshit as everything has been cross bred so much there's really only hybrids outside of actual wild cannabis. So indica being sleepy and sativa being energetic is just stoner mythology at this point.
However as others have pointed out, differences in cannabinoid ratios, terpene profiles, ROA (and temperature if vaping) can definitely result in different highs. Likewise the placebo effect is very real and if you go in expecting a strain to make you sleepy for example then chances are it will.
The biggest difference though that a majority of people will actually be able to tell is THC content honestly. It's quite a new field though and there is a lot of interesting research being done to increase our understanding (e.g. the effects of different terpenes).

I worked for one of these types when I was younger. Truly the most psychotic vile piece of shit but with a good outward image which made it so much more annoying for anybody to believe he was a garbage boss.
While working for him he got diagnosed with some kind of cancer with a small survival rate that he ended up beating somehow. I thought naively at the time that the experience might change his ways, but nope, as soon as he was better he fired or reduced the hours without notice to a whole bunch of people across his businesses.

Carbon steel is a great kinda hybrid of both imo if you can find it for a good price. Heats up much quicker and more evenly than cast iron and is not as heavy too, so really versatile. It also gets seasoned for that flavour and non-stick quality although not as well as cast iron.
