So you want to pirate the game and also hope for no more games from the publisher? Why even pirate it in the first place? Y'all hexbear folks are weird.

The tax loophole was a perceived reason, but it was never proven to be true. The closest admission to it was Sony losing a lawsuit related to the situation and Sony admitting that something related to Yabasic was intended to skirt EU tax law, not Linux for PS2. I never heard of Yabasic before today.

Fun fact, Geohot owns a company that jailbreaks cars and their adaptive cruise control systems now.

  • You bet your ass I'm voting for Biden over Trump. Elections have consequences. I don't like Biden as a candidate. But with how elections currently work in the US, it's either Biden or Trump. And that's an easy decision.

Edit* you hexbear folks are an interesting lot. You fling around accusations that completely ignore the complexities of geopolitics. It's insulting to suggest that I support genocide, especially without engagement in an actual discussion. I've been around lemmy a while now and every day it's the same argument from you folks. There can be no discussion because y'all can't act like adults and have a good faith discussion. The only answer is to not engage, and that's a shame.

  • September 13th 2001, Tool took to the stage. Maynard James Keenan spoke briefly about the attacks. Paraphrasing, he suggested an inward look at ourselves as a country. The crowd began to chant "USA USA" to which Maynard responded

"you all are going to be really bummed out when you find out the U.S. did this to itself."

  • Okay, so adhd meme ha ha funny whatever, serious question, it's as much a struggle for neurotypical people close to with adhd as it is for the afflicted themselves.

How does one bridge this gap? A neurotypical response is essentially "get the right meds and figure yourself out". But the neurodivergent response always seems to be "no. We make memes about it instead" like that's some kind of appropriate answer. I say this with some level of tounge-in-cheek, but it's what I've experienced. I have someone in my life who is medicated for adhd, but only has a mild positive response due to them. It's very difficult to support them when the outward appearance is they are unwilling to help themselves, even though I understand that it's not an unwillingness as much as an inability.
