The 45+ crowd will vote for him because they support isn'treal and are afraid of Drumpf but I think we're going to see a massive drop out of young voters. Probably too with the people who already don't vote to begin with, namely service workers who are fucked over either way with D's and R's.

And here I thought Biden was going to win in November, time to eat crow.

You bet your ass I'm voting for Biden over Trump. Elections have consequences. I don't like Biden as a candidate. But with how elections currently work in the US, it's either Biden or Trump. And that's an easy decision.

Edit* you hexbear folks are an interesting lot. You fling around accusations that completely ignore the complexities of geopolitics. It's insulting to suggest that I support genocide, especially without engagement in an actual discussion. I've been around lemmy a while now and every day it's the same argument from you folks. There can be no discussion because y'all can't act like adults and have a good faith discussion. The only answer is to not engage, and that's a shame.

Which president did more genocide? Which president did Roe v Wade die under with no opposition? Which president crushed the rail unions? Which president proposed the more fascist border policy? Which president committed an act of war against Europe and Russia by blowing up the Nord Stream? Which president has spent billions funding nazis?

Biden has Trump beat on: Deportations, war-making, strike-breaking, police funding, arms sales, oil extraction, activist prosecution through RICO, government surveillance, social media banning, student repression, and oh yeah fuckin genocide

But yeah sure it's an "easy decision" for a middle-class white boy from Bumfuck, USA

Trump was already president with control of both houses of Congress and Biden hasn't overturned any of the policies he enacted. The Supreme Court already has an extreme Conservative majority. There is no doomsday if Trump wins; he is only slightly worse.

Go ahead and vote for Biden if you have to, but at least do your part with getting involved in third party action to help make them viable in the future. I plan on volunteering and voting for the de la Cruz campaign.
