I feel like these people know their limits very well and stop themselves before getting anywhere close to dying. Obviously, something could happen outside of their control and cause a fatal accident but the same could be said about someone going for a walk. I've certainly been in positions where I pushed up against my limits, thought to myself "I don't want to die today", and dialled it back down.
The hiring department wants to see how hard you can grovel and beg for an entry level position that pays a non-living wage when you divide your salary by actual hours worked.

Suburbia is like if you got all the psycho libertarians who live 30 minutes away from their closest neighbor and put them within a few hundred feet of each other, with an HOA. They all fucking hate each other and everyone else but they're not rich enough to own a bunch of land.
I've never been but every large American city I have been to seems like it would be hell to live in if you didn't make at least 250k per year. It's certainly possible and I have friends scraping by in a couple of them but their quality of life is not great.
