  • The problem here is that enabling violence in any form outside, leaks right back in. You don't think the Anti-China rhetoric ramped up Anti-Asian violence in the United States? The Dems' unconditional backing of the Israeli "human animals" treatment got a Palestinian boy and his mother stabbed to death in Chicago. Your vote is the ONLY bargaining chip you have in this "democracy" in North America. If you fail to apply conditions, you're just rubber stamping any horrific policy that the administration enacts.

  • Again, this public/ private partnership garbage. FDR just created jobs to do the work that needed to get done. Modern Congress critters are all about tax credits, and giving money to Corporations to beg them to hire people. So rather than just hiring people to do Society's work, we must pay Capitalists to maybe hire someone. This is absolutely why people have lost faith in the capacity of the US Govt. They see money getting thrown around, but instead of benefiting directly, they see a small percentage get returned as indirect hiring. So no-one sees government working for them..absolute shite..

  • Why are Democrats giving money to "Democrats" who won't support their agenda? Why did the DNC support Manchin and Sinema financially, but actually give money to Republicans over Progressive Democrats? You can't be against Fascists, but still financially support them over Social Democrats...An unemotional look at the DNC's behaviour shows that even if you got 70 Senators, the things we want would not get done. The Democrats are closer to the Republicans than any Socialist/ Communist/Anarchist in here..

  • The ongoing War against China is holding the world hostage. The ghouls running Western Civilization KNOW that we're in endgame, but they can't resist trying to prevent China from developing. If the clock is running on fossil fuels, every nation should be trying to spend the last allowance on projects for the populace general welfare. That means Public transportation, public housing, etc. Which China is doing while the 5 eye countries pump money into their militaries...

  • Do you live in the US? Just curious? I always hear white US liberals make this argument. They are terrified of random violence, but seem totally fine with targeted structural violence against other ethnicities, cultures, and class backgrounds.

For example, one of the side effects of the constitutional carry boom, similar to the decriminalization of marijuana, is the reduction of arrests and killings by police of African American men. Why? Because police use marijuana and weapons charges to arrest and select young black people for assault.

Whenever I ask, how will you prevent black , poorer, and indigenous people from being targeted by the police enforcing your weapons laws, there is no answer. They either don't care or willingly want poorer people, or non White's to be eliminated or have their rights stripped.

Bad construction comrade. Your argument is paraphrased thus:

Egyptian famines are a result of a lack of wheat, therefore any country that doesn't grow wheat is in a famine.

The welfare system in the stated Nordic countries is indeed funded by imperialism. But the reverse is not necessarily true. Some imperial countries do not distribute the gains among the citizens.

Post hoc fallacy here..in these cases, the welfare state does develop after imperialism, but that doesn't mean that imperialism created the welfare state...

Some countries have social programs without ever being imperialist. It just means less wealth to redistribute

  • OK..I know a bit about this one. Bolivar wanted to be the George Washington of South America, like to a tee. He wanted a slave owning landholder class to run the continent, instead of the Monarchy. The original plan WAS to be white land owning Slaveholders just like the North American Colonists.

The Critical diversion point was that he failed multiple times, and was lucky enough to escape death each time. South America had a very high percentage of African and Indigenous inhabitants, and Bolivar couldn't get enough Criollos and Mestizos to back him in a winning campaign against Spain. After his second failure, he hid out in the Caribbean. The Haitian Leaders promised him ships and troops for the revolution if he promised to abandon Slavery and emancipate all African descended peoples.

After the Haitian help, we was able to win support from the Black, Indigenous, and mixed residents. That allowed him to turn the corner in his Gran Colombia campaign...

So yes, he did eventually use a multi-racial, multi-ethnic campaign, but I would say only out of necessity. If he had won the first or second times, his initial vision of a Spanish speaking version of Slave holding Colonial USA would have been what prevailed.

  • They most certainly will come after you!

“They Sue Regularly” The Many Lawsuits Of TSR – Prime

"In 1992, Gary Gygax created another fantasy RPG called Dangerous Dimensions for GDW, the company that publishes Traveller. However, TSR was there again with a suit that would be laughed out of court today. They hadn’t yet learned the lessons Games Workshop would learn about copyright and mechanics–their initial complaint was that Dangerous Dimensions (which had since been changed to Dangerous Journeys: Mythus) was too derivative of AD&D.

A look at their complaint reveals… a lot of creative interpretation of the word “derivative.”

    (2) The Heroic Persona Attractiveness rules in MYTHUS (pages 18, 102 and 391) are derived from the Comeliness rules in the AD&D UA (pages 6-7); TSR’s DRAGON Magazine, issue #67 (pages 61-62); and the WORLD OF GREYHAWK boxed set’s Glossography (pages 33-34).

    (4) The concept of adjusting a character’s abilities corresponding to its age found in MYTHUS (pages 104-105) is derived from the similar concept in the AD&D 1st ed. DMG (page 13).

Here’s a couple of choice examples. Heaven forbid you have age adjust a character’s abilities. And as we all know, famously, AD&D invented Elves and Dwarves and was never sued by the Tolkien estate, not even once (they totally were):

    (6) In MYTHUS (pages 94-95), the non-human player races, including gnomes, dwarves, alfar (elves) and alfen, are derived from similar non-human player races, including gnomes, dwarves, elves and halflings, in the AD&D DEITIES AND DEMIGODS book (pages 106-110); the AD&D 1st ed. PHB (pages 15-17); the AD&D UA (pages 8-12); and the AD&D LL (pages 91-95).

And the mentioning of Deities and Demigods is a particular overdose of irony, considering that particular book is full of figures derived from myths. Other popular things that TSR wanted to sue over include the idea of a character class or job or vocation:

    (7) The MYTHUS concept of character vocations in MYTHUS (pages 13 and 70-71) is derived from the character class concept in the AD&D 1st ed. PHB (pages 18-33); the AD&D 1st ed. DMG (pages 16-21); and the AD&D UA (pages 12-25 and 74-75).

    Or generating stats…

    (8) In MYTHUS (page 67), the concept of and the method by which the game characters’ attributes are defined by randomly-generated numbers, and the players’ choices of vocations precede and alter such attribute generation, are derived from a similar concept and method in the AD&D 1st ed. DMG (pages 11-12) and the AD&D UA (page 74). Advertisement

The list goes on, taking issue with almost every single point of the game’s rules, painting with a broad enough brush that TSR could then theoretically sue any and all other RPG companies out there for “using dice to determine the outcome of an action.” Let me leave you with this:

“(36) The “First Aid” skill in MYTHUS (pages 28 and 165) is derived from the AD&D “Cure Light Wounds” spell in the AD&D 1st ed. PHB (page 43) and the AD&D OA (page 57).”

  • It absolutely will affect everyone..There's a summary here: twitter journalist summary

ALL COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS will require their creators to report their work to Wizards of the Coast.

You owe them royalties on all fantasy ttrpg they think is related, based on your revenue.

They have rights to forever republish any work that they deem related, without your say so ans without giving you any revenue..

Don't forget that TSR sued people for using characters that were derivative of elves, and have shut them down...
