I love Metal Gear but the smart stuff isn't really thought through and the dumb stuff is really really dumb. People actually think 4 and 5 were actually well plotted games. The first three are masterpieces, three is the most shallow by a wide margin but it's campy fun and the gameplay is amazing.
Metal Gear fans think they know politics and history as well.

I don't think Metal Gear taught me History. I do think it taught me the future though.
Yeah he was better at that.
