Gambling is bourgeois. In gambling, the goal is to receive capital for not performing labor. Gambling legitimizes the bourgeois ideal that risk risking capital creates value.

For this reason, I do not gamble.

Hit the strip with my lucky pajamas and cybernetic implant

Break the bank at every casino by doubling down every hand

Say "this place is the bees knees" and refuse to elaborate further

    Get kicked out

You know how the Pokemon games all feature gambling, but also a society where everyone's basic needs seem to be met? In the first game the Game Corner is a front for team rocket, but in every game after that the society depicted operates a lottery that is completely free to participate in and only exists to randomly distribute cool swag to kids. Anyway that's how gambling will work under communism.

The key to going to casinos is finding those that'll comp you $10-20 in chips and free drinks just for walking into the door.

Find some nickle slots and slurp down as much free alcohol as you can, maybe toss in 5 bucks to get some time to finish your drink & get your shit together, the go to the next one down the block. If you win, great! Either keep drinking for free or cut & run with the money.

There you go, full day of gambling and boozing for less than a single bar tab.

I found one of those places once on a class trip in college, got $10 in free "play chips." I bet it all on a single hand of blackjack, and the house busted :D so I immediately cashed out my $20 in real chips. Paid for most of the trip, and I got a kick out of ripping off the casino for $20.

I've heard stories of people abusing the free food/drinks stuff at casinos before. never really looked into it myself since all the casinos by me are super far drive and I just don't care, but if you know how to hustle and shit you could probably get a free meal once or twice a week doing something like this.

You could always be a F2P gacha gamer.

Just need a lot of selfcontrol.

the only time i gamble now a days is on Christmas Eve with my family. We all do $20 buy in for poker, do a few games, usually something fun like Omaha Hi-Lo which is easy enough even some of the younger kids can learn it. Usually got like 10 people playing. It's great fun, I don't feel like shit loosing money, I've won a couple years which is fuckin awesome but because it's a family thing and we do it once a year, it's not bad. For everything else, I don't dig it, don't have fun with it and don't partake in it anymore

Path of Exile crafting is like this, except it takes hours of grinding to get any reasonable amount of currency (you use up currency to do crafting, basically). Very satisfying to create a really nice item though, and if you make a truly top tier item, people will pay you to make copies of it for them (there's a currency type that copies items, so they give you one of those, you copy the item, and they pay you the copying fee to get the freshly-made copy).

If you aren't really risking anything then winning isn't as fun cause the stakes aren't there to create the tension. That's why rich people have to gamble absolutely absurd amounts to get any thrill from it.
