"I think she is a reasonable, rational person who has worked in the system," said Bill Daley, Wells Fargo & Co.'s head of public affairs and former chief of staff to President Obama. "Is she a progressive? Yes. Is she someone who wants to burn the building down? No. I think she wants to strengthen the building."
I mean who did they actually think was going to be the VP? They weren't going to put Sanders in a wig and call him Burnadette. They were always safe.
as dumb as that is
True, I guess nobody said Wall St-ers were smart.
They were probably worried about Warren the most. Wall Street absolutely hates her for some reason.
Who the fuck did they think he was gonna pick? The ghost of Che? Biden's been bellowing about cooperating for over a year. They literally fund his campaign, the fuck are they relieved for?
This couldn't be... no, no way... Do you guys think this might be gasp theatrics?
They expected the Democrats to dig up John Brown and parade his body as the new VP, just like they did with Biden
I honestly think the money people are happy that there is a new entity that is going to hog the news cycle for a while. With Biden and Harris as the official team, they can make headlines for a while, and people can pretend Trump isn't destroying our country. And to the extent that they see it happening, they can ignore it and be happy about this.
I do have to ask though, when is Biden or Harris going to make a promise to make the USPS robust and explain their election reform plans?
And here I bet a bunch of you nerds will continue to insist I'm not progressive. What better bona fides do you need to convince you than Bill Daley? As the most progressive VP candidate in US history, I will work tirelessly to prop up the moldering edifice of imperialist neoliberal hegemony!
