Okay, I actually used "I'm right behind you" as a first message for everyone I matched for like two weeks (I saw eric andre use it as a bit and thought it was fucking hilarious). I feel bad about it now though

I'm gonna be misogynistic and say that a lot of these women who do want 6' or above are terrible at judging height. Know several Guys™ that are like 5'9" telling women they're 6' and hooking up.

That being said there's no shortage of women that don't care about height and there's plenty of short men that have game. Developing half a personality will get you somewhere

Also a obligatory fuck tinder or whatever fucking app people use nowadays. That shit just amplifies all this incel bullshit even more

Yes, let's blame the women for vocally having physical standards, not the men who are lying to their faces

Not being into someone that's overweight or underweight--- something they could control by losing or gaining weight, is not the same as not being into someone for their height.

Fyi you really do not want to do this unless medically necessary. An osteotomy is incredibly painful. They are literally breaking/sawing through the entire bone in order to insert permanent titanium rods and screws, which new bone will fuse and grow around.

I would know because I've had like 14 osteotomies performed on 14 vertebrae of my spine (not the leg but same general idea). I gained over 3 inches in height, but that definitely was not the reason for the operation. It was done because I was losing the ability to walk.

Also the recovery is much longer than the claimed 6-8 weeks. Yeah, after 6 weeks you should be able to walk unassisted and do most things, but the healing and pain will still be there. Full bone fusion takes a minimum of 6 months to a year. That is the actual period to a full recovery.

There's a reason most orthopaedic surgeons will only perform these procedures if the patient meets strict criteria and will refuse to do so otherwise. (50 degree Cobb's angle for scoliosis, or rapid progression if the curve is under that angle, same story for kyphosis but at a 75 degree angle. The criteria for leg fusion and osteotomy is most likely similarly strict in different ways)

I'm tall, so never heard this. Shoutout to our short comrades making their way to Mexico as we speak.

Wast majority of people who set out to lose significant weight fail so I don't think it's a very strong argument.

You don't have much control over who you are attracted to but there are standards you should probably not be vocal about. I'm sure everyone here would look down at someone having a vocal standard of "NO FAT CHICKS".

Not blaming the women at all. Just saying that's how fucked up the situation is

I think it's fair for someone to have a preference for body type, what I find silly is when people have very specific standards. Being rejected for being 5'11" instead of 6' is like being rejected is like someone saying they only date women under 100lbs and being rejected because you're 105lbs. I don't think it's good to lie about it either though. To me, if someone is so shallow that an inch or two is a deal breaker, they're probably not worth chatting with, esp. if they're linking height to masculinity or some shit.

Nah, we had incels before online dating, it was just that online dating was coming into its hay day right around the time incels we’re getting the most mainstream media attention. Online dating is mostly fine, idk why everyone acts like things were better in “the good old days”. Regularly dating sucks too and even if you prefer it apps, it’s not like tinder eliminated bars, you can still try and hook up with people there if you like. I meet my last three partners on tinder and I’m not a hunk so idk why everyone seems to think it’s so awful.

I mean, like half the serious couples I know meet via online dating, including the one I'm currently in. There's aspect of it that suck, but honestly I find a lot of them carry over to regular dating as well. IDK where everyone got the impression that in "yee olden days" dating was super awesome and easy. Like fuck no bro, it sucked a fat dick.
