I don't really know anything about the mothman tbh except I watched some movie with Richard Gere about it when I was a kid I think.

The Mothman Prophecies was really more about the general state of weirdness around Point Pleasant around the collapse of the Silver bridge
There are a lot of stories about weird things going on, especially the stuff going on with Indrid Cold, but Mothman is straightforward

Out of all the myths and legends out there I tend to think there might be some credibility when it comes to it. indigenous peoples have passed down wild man stories for centuries and there's been so many sightings, idk. Second favorite is the grey alien because it's so mysterious.
I'm mothman-pilled these days, but back in the day I loved some of the nonsense shit from Pliny the Elder. My favorite creature was the Abarimon, a savage mountain man with backwards feet that runs at insane speeds.

I like Kappas. Read a lot of kwaidan and ghost stories as a kid like I was a prepper memorising rules for the monsterpocalypse or something and kappas always struck me as so goofy and cute, like they have this divit in their head that has water in it that gives them energy, but if you bow respectfully to them, they will reciprocate and spill the water from their heads and become lethargic. Also they apparently really like cucumbers (who doesn't) so people will toss them into waterways to placate them.
