linux is the anarchist approach to an OS, while the ML position would be to nationalize microsoft. Either way bill gates has an appointment at central park.
thanks for coming to my ted talk
If Linux isn't the ML position then explain this, comrade
korean comrades are unfortunately too far away and militarily unprepared to launch their global assault on all microsoft offices, and have to make do until :biden-leftist: can reveal his true power level
china also is unfortunately surrounded by american military bases/naval forces, and must wait until :xi-god-emperor: pushes the communism button before it can seize the means of optimal democratically centralized OS design
Disclaimer: I don't know a whole lot about it. But basically, Deepin is a Linux distrobution based on Debian, just like how Ubuntu is based on Debian. It's userbase is primary Chinese, and there's currently an effort by the PRC to replace foreign software with domestic alternatives, in which Deepin is a part. I've only read a few short articles about it but it seems like China is trying to gradually move users over to Linux.
Here's a few links that will probably tell you more than I can:

I mean if we just collectively all threw Windows in the trash and decided that everything had to work on Linux then like 99% of the problems would be solved anyway because most of the problems are "this thing was designed to work with Windows and doesn't work right with Linux"
Or when we nationalize Apple, have them fix Linux to be usable by normal people (this wouldn't even be that hard for them, all it would take is a good UI for changing various settings). Then start porting stuff and writing new stuff for Linux.
The way Apple sucks is easily reversible. They have good development practices, don't accept spaghetti the way almost everyone else does. The hardware they design is generally very good, except that it is intentionally crippled to make more money selling you solutions to the problems they created. It's also generally out of date compared to everyone else, but it's out of date because they wait for the tech to be a little more mature before adopting it, which is a good practice imo.
The software problems they have are all created by trying to milk more money out of people, and occasionally relying on third party developers to not do stupid things when obviously they are going to do stupid things.
We should make communism be when everyone has iPhone, and iPhones also don't suck.
microsoft will be placed under the direct command of comrade :xi-gun: for the purpose of eradicating the g*mer menace
No no no.
Windows and Mac are liberal.
Linux, BSD, etc are leftist.
Fights about which Linux distribution or BSD variant is best are where the real sectarian action is at.
PS it's Debian.
all systems which don't have BASIC by default are fascist, and that's that
Linux shows all the problems of mutualism lol, it just gets subsumed into capital and cannot overcome it.
Acktually only LFS is Anarchism. No longer will the hierarchy of Distro creator to end user be maintained. A horizontal community of mutual compilers be created. Arch Linux is Real Marxism and Communism, no I will not explain.
no one is against linux as anything more than a bit.
i'm not against it, but i don't use it because i am lazy AND stupid. i used to have it on an old laptop but i missed itunes. :galaxy-brain:
the basic assumptions of all these systems were formed under neoliberalism lmao computing is so fucking reactionary we struggle to imagine what liberatory computation would even look like death to the microchip tim berners lee martyr yourself in the basement of 111 Eighth ave
