Imagine enslaving and keeping alive a half to one ton animal for transportation, couldn't be me
this post made by :sicko-biker:
Bicycles have the advantage of horses (don't need big-ass roads, don't spew carbon into the atmosphere, much less prone to horrifying crashes) but without the animal exploitation
Bicycles need to unionize if we're not letting them shit or eat
Completely different applications. You can’t plow a field with a bicycle, or drag logs out of the woods.
sure you can, you just need a big enough bicycle with sufficient gearing
only tangentially related but the big hyper expensive all carbon fiber hydroplane sailing catamarans raced in the america cup can't use any power source other than wind and humans so they have people who pedal pumps to generate enough hydraulic pressure to manage the hydroplane control surface
The Design could obviously use some more changes than slapping an absurdly low gear on a regular mountainbike (think 3 wheeler, some weight at the front and what have you) but you know.
This one's basically a placed ad for Haibike but again, especially with an E-Motor it's not like bicycles lack torque.
yeah, but they require energy to move, which if you've seen the average American we've passed the point of no return on that front /s
Also less horseshit. Old roads were filled with horseshit, it was disgusting.
horses unfortunately cant drive vehicles yet but were working on it
Still technically not driving drunk. The horse might get cited for public intoxication though.
I remember the Putt Putt game I had like, you were trying to save the town or something and that involved moving the lawn for the mayor.
Wonder if theres any way to play them on modern PCs. I'm sure there's an emulator out there.
And what of the noble train? Does it not impart any benefit to the transitory needs of the greater good? Or are horses consigned to the hatred of the glorious mechanised symbol of the progress of man as another John Henry?
