Actually they are only pronounced 'bore-geosie' after they enter earth's atmosphere and begin to burn up, before that they are pronounced 'boo-goesie'.
No joking around I've noticed the difference in pronunciation is fairly racially divided, a lot of Black folk I know say it the latter way.

I think if the emphasis is on the “sie” and the first two syllables come out quickly, a sort of “boosh” is fine. As you would know, French language has that nice flow to it. Im talking about when the first syllable is emphasised as BOO-geoisie.

So I'm going to ruin your entire life, but English is the only language that I know of that attempts to preserve pronunciation of words from other languages. Every other language I know of at least attempts to assimilate them in some way and that's an expected consequence since there are sometimes incompatible vowel sounds. You should pronounce it like you would in English rather than a French person would because if you saw my IPA type out there, we don't really have a couple of those sounds in English.
ive always thought it was strange what words they decide to pronounce in the other language. like i've heard a newscaster say "tour de france" like he's mimicking a french person then 5 minutes later when he's not talking about that event pronounce France like an American would
Weirdly enough I’m fine with “boojee” as like, a descriptor. “Oh you go to brunch? Sounds boojee”. But hearing “boo-shwazee” is another matter lol. I recently noticed Breht O’Shea says it that way, I’ll have to deal with it because RevLeft and Red Menace are too good
When he had the appalachia guy on and he pronounced bourgeoisie with the accent and the r, it was grating on the ears until I realized that it is more correct. Now I can't get it out of my head and I try to say it like him.
I used to pronounce it the same way, but now I've completely switched to calling all instances of bourgeoisie/bourgeois bougie. It's probably not correct, but it's a silly word anyways

I do try to avoid jargon, but it really is not difficult to explain the term "bourgeoisie" or "bourgeois" to people. You can just say "oh yeah sorry im talking about rich assholes"
I try not to use it because I think it'd give up the ghost for some people, who you'd scare away or enrage if you used the jargon. It's almost, but not quite, the same as people saying 'Das Kapital' instead of 'Capital'.
