"Dear Reddit, why don't my kids call me anymore?"

I was thinking low thousands for an NFT. At least the shoes would make the kids happier and he wouldnt have to actually explain what they are.

Plus you can actually wear the shoes, they are comfortable and protect your feet. They have function. An internet token is literally an ethereal speculation device, ones and zeros on a computer screen that can't feed you or keep you warm.

Crypto bros must see shoes as some "thug" thing while their ugly computer generated internet cartoons are an enlightened investment. :so-true:

Bazinga Brain mentality wherein it's soft racism that rap and sneakers are "low brow" culture for "thugs" while my computer version of Funko Pops is for high class gentlemen.

A foam rubber headless dismembered bloody torso of a dead bikini-clad woman that came from a video game's collector's edition box is classy. :so-true:

Do I even want to know if that's actually a thing?

Criticizing that kind of edgelord trash is likely to anger the treat seekers. Even here, sometimes.

I haven't dared post anything there because of what I learned from Reddit culture and its /r/gaming :so-true: community in particular, but knowing that the mods here aren't down with that makes me feel more comfortable considering that in the future.

Are you ready for a crisis situation, like say a professional game reviewer giving a Zelda game a 7/10?

That's the best part, people here are already far more critical than any mainstream game sites, and most of the discourse around gaming here is just people talking about cool indie/niche rpg/strategy/sim shit and complaining about HOI being too reactionary.

Myself I try to keep tabs on the intersection of labor and gaming and post as many updates on that as possible.

Maybe I'd be better off going there if I criticize something in a video game or criticize the industry's corporations and oligarchical leadership.

In my experience, being too fast and loose with treats criticism even on Hexbear can get some fans of it to take it personally, then they start calling me names and holding weird grudges against me for what I said for days or even weeks alter.

Dude, it's fine to disagree with me or even to dunk on me, but it gets weird when the grudge carries on and said treat haver starts making it a personal mission to follow my posts because I said a bad thing about the treats.

                                      Get off it.

It's the perfect term for :so-true: type redditors. They're not PMC blue checks on twitter or boater kulaks frothing at the mouth for Trump, they're clueless rubes who think assholes like Elon are going to save them through crypto and gaming.

Yeah that was fast but it's kinda perfect. They're not chuds, they are the type of people that might have voted for Trump because he was funny, they have no personal stake in anything and are free to blow money gambling on stupid shit that deep down they only like because it pisses other people off.
