That what individualism do to you. They willing to sacrifice certain of populations as long as they get their treat and entertainment

Not only that but we have these rabid anti-mask anti-lockdown people practically begging for more to die.

Almost no one masks up anymore where I am. There's no social distancing. I get crowded around when I wait in line anywhere.

This is accelerating the collapse of the US healthcare system, forcing medical staff to quit and not be replaced, but the treats flow and the vacations continue. :amerikkka-clap:

My university is requiring in person classes. Masks are just “suggested” even though we’re in the medical sciences building. The plan for this semester is “just stop paying attention to it. We’ve had more covid cases than any university on earth as far as I know.

If it makes you feel better its very similar over here in socialist Denmark too. People wear masks in shops and stuff, but not when they work out, or sit at bars. And suddenly its all alright cause Omikron is "more mild" and some bullshit about natural immunity. I feel like Im losing my mind for taking precautions.

    Fucking psychopaths.

Deaths are up 40% from pre-pandemic levels, for working age people, according to life insurance companies.

It's hitting kids harder, too. Which is what the south African data showed. But since the propaganda was "kids can't get covid, back to school!" Since the start barely any under 11 kids are vaxxed.

    Evil fucking country.

The coronavirus only kills 1% of people who get it! Its really not that big of a deal!

Btw, everyone is going to get it and we just have to accept that

Somehow a position held by the same people

To be clear, even if it was 1% (it’s higher last I checked), that would be 3.6 million deaths in the United States alone. I know you know that but I feel like everyone forgets that when they say “oNLy oNe pERceNt oF pEoPle DiE”

That's exactly the point I'm making. It's 1.6% in the US right now, and thats with vaccines available.

Oh yeah I know you know, not trying to imply anything else, I just like to point out those numbers because I feel like sometimes we forget what those percentages mean. Just trying to add to your point.

I've been trying to tell my relatives the whole "mild omicron" thing the media is pushing is verifiably bullshit, but they just believe whatever NPR says and go out to restaurants and movies and act like the pandemic's over. It's extremely fucked.

President Biden said Friday that Americans will have to learn to live with COVID-19 long-term but that things will “be better”

Most likely they saw how fast omicron spreads and said fuck it, let's do herd immunity.

And then when next year it starts again because there'll be a new variant they'll be like :surprised-pika:
