Maybe. I'd like to think that a non-alienating parenting style might help, along with a strong community (at least family). But, this doesn't fix alienating working conditions, or social alienation outside of work. School seems alienating as shit too. Standby... *moves to Vietnam for the strong community spirit*
It's hard to watch, as a parent. I think about how so many people were just wee innocent babes at one time and it hurts my heart/soul.
