    Live stage plays are more fun than movies and I hate that they've been branded as being pretentious shit for rich people. Same goes for dance.

      I love live performance and going to see them isn't nearly as bourgeois as people think. If you buy your tickets right as the show is starting you can get decent seats for just a few bucks more then going to a movie. I've gotten third and fourth row seats for like $20 at major productions.

        the most bourgeois thing about them is that the audience is mostly gray hairs. i went to one recently and if you took me and my partners age out of the audience the average age was about 70

      counterpoint, stage plays are fun, but there are just so many more and interesting things you can do with film as an artform than you can with stage.

      dance is great, I love a good ballet.
