You see, if the painting had been an NFT, there's no way he could have defaced it.
:agony-4horsemen: God dammit I'm nearly certain that argument was made in response to this.
Way to ruin someone’s investment portfolio :markkks-juggalo: :markkks-juggalo:
Art's about your reactions, right? This minimum wage employee had a better reaction than any of the stiff old rich assholes who walk past the painting. He not only made a statement but improved it, too.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Leporskaya She was a Soviet artist who died in 1982
It's so easy to just revarnish the painting. The ballpoint pen absolutely didn't get past it. This is a non-issue as the painting isn't even moderately damaged.
"Ruined" art is still art.
This painting is going to skyrocket in value if some rich guy wants it to.
The artist was from the Soviet Union
If the original artist had done the same thing, it would have increased the value by .3 million
As has been said in this thread the original artist was from the Soviet Union. They probably would be disgusted to see their art used as a token for bourgie assholes to park their ill gotten gains on as an investment.
I commented a few weeks ago about how everyone here fucking hates abstract Art and the responses were all just 'huh where?'
