My favorite part is that his family is a telecom products dynasty. At least 50% of the job sites I've been on, the telecom/security systems/AV guys are using Belden bulk cable to run their infrastructure. I thought it was a coincidence, but nah his family actually owns that shit. It's funny, I noticed this when I was doing HVAC, and we used to use West Penn wire for our control systems. That's a good point. Even if you go way off road on your way to Ukraine you're still a white person and English is widely spoken throughout Europe. I'm not sure if you'd have as much luck trying to get around in some random part of Kurdistan.
