    These are the liberals. Thry mainly vote DA. The conservative that vote for the VF+ are very open about their racism.

      Yeah I live in the US, so we don't really get SA black folks here and the white ones that come are usually libs. The pathology is hilarious to me, but honestly not very different than American "progressives" lol.

      Tbh, SA whites seem like American whites from a few decades ago. I think at some point you will become normal but explicit privilege is too ingrained rn. One thing I'm curious of though: do you think the proportion of white radicals has decreased or increased since the fall of apartheid? I could see this liberal rapprochement being an easy out for whites who feel guilty.

        As for radicals, it has decreased after apartheid, but is slowly increasing now. When black leaders entered the liberal white party (DA), it was too much for them. But black politicians have all being kicked out or left the DA now, only a few remain. VF+ vote percentage going up is a good indication of radical attitudes being on the rise.

            Joe Slovo was Jewish, and Jewish people tend to be much more anti apartheid than most as well, the apartheid regime were Nazis. There were a lot of white people that protest apartheid and racism on an individual level, the treats and continued privelege seems to be enough to buy the majority off.
