I’m imagining that synth line as being played live with an arpeggiator and the precision in timing for some of it is astounding to me. I don’t know if that’s how it’s done, but it’s so interesting

Just because of the existential dread it gives me, I think Lotus Gait by Propagandhi is hard to hear. It perfectly describes and portrays the unrelenting pressure of the inability to act. How being stuck feels. It's distills the emotion that is awareness of being frozen and how that makes you feel as a failure. https://youtu.be/wLmz9-frOIU

I just have no idea how to feel about it. It should be just a sad song about a person who wants to die, but the really tragic part is that it feels more peaceful and bittersweet than anything else. Beautiful song, though.

The song is nationalist trash and I don't understand a word without looking at subtitles, but it just sounds so fitting for an apocalyptic war scene. Like as background music for the game Highfleet or a scene in the world based on that animation "Fortress".

Song is "Serbian artillery is led by god".

Surprised no one mentioned "Tumbling Down." :shinji-impact:

Not gonna link but "I Cannot Feel You As The Dogs Are Laughing And I Am Blind" by Nurse With Wound is the creepiest "song" i ever heard, going from minutes of sounds of churning tinfoil to a very distressed moaning and screaming of a woman that freaked me out when i heard it when i was 16.

The whole Homotopy To Marie album is like that btw, featuring cursed gamelan music and very strangely cut up voices, very fun to listen to alone in the dark, yes.
