It's ok to say Maine removed, they're called that because they look like raccoons.

I know it's used as a slur but where I grew up I only ever heard it used to refer to a) raccoons or b) this breed of cat. It's hard for me to internalize. It's just what I called raccoons growing up.
Oh my god! That kitty is black with white/gray hair on his belly, just like a kitty I had, I loved him so much but I eventually ended up losing him way too early 😔
Take very good care of him and give him all the love in the world!
