it was only a matter of time before suicidal libs decided to start taking officials down with them. like it observably works for the right so why not the center? they don't have theory to explain why it doesn't work - just moralizing about how violence is bad that doesn't hold up when you realize it can be justified as self- or community-defense.

Where is the intent when your gun isn't loaded and you call the cops on yourself? Most draconian criminal justice system in a world that includes Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Singapore and China is depressingly impressive

Private prison lobbyists pay to create and sustain the school-to-prison pipeline in a country that’s still half-segregated by race. They are literally paying for slaves.

The dude called the cops on himself. I don't want to play everything is an Op thing but damn, how nice for them to have an excuse to crack down on protestors before the judgment comes down.

If anyone helped him prepare and had knowledge of what he was doing, driving to the house would be an overt act and they could both be charged with conspiracy

He took a taxi, hopefully if he "confessed" to the driver he's not a native speaker of English and can claim ignorance.

Well I think it's disgusting that anyone would try to politicize the actions of this disturbed individual

what are the odds he didn't actually call himself in and the state is just trying to cover up whatever they used to actually catch him...

Dude exited the taxi a block from the Judge's house and just kinda casually walked. Security stopped him immediately, checked his bag, and arrested him.

Like, we can talk about MKULTRA or insist the Feds leaned on this guy not unlike with the Michigan Governor "attempted kidnapping". But what even could they be covering up? He just kinda flailed ineffectually and surrendered. I think /u/dead might be closer to the mark on this one. Dude didn't want to kill anyone. He just wanted to be a martyr.

Per the story, he did phone it in to warn the police he was coming. And then he showed up and immediately got arrested.

i think this guy is either... the worst "assassin" of all time... or being paid to do precisely what he is doing: create a media spectacle where the lich lords who rule the courts can be seen as victims

A lot of people are saying this must be fake because he turned himself in before doing anything. I would be more inclined to believe the opposite. Fully plotting and preparing to do a crime and then turning yourself into the authorities moments before performing that crime is the most liberal thing that anyone could do. There is something baked deeply into the liberal psyche, that sacrificing yourself (being a martyr) is more powerful than actually standing up to authority.

Liberal ideology would have us believe that by demonstrating we could stand up to authority but actively choosing to sacrifice oneself instead, we have created a powerful symbol. This powerful symbol would inspire other people to sacrifice themselves to create more symbols of disobedience and then the oppressive authorities will feel guilty and decide to do the right thing on their own. This is how liberals think the black civil rights movement was won, that black people endlessly turned themselves in to the police until the authorities felt so guilty that they had to change laws.

I believe that this man plotted and prepared with the intention of turning himself in all along. Not because he's a fed, but because he's a liberal.

According to the Washington Post, Justice Kavanaugh and his family were at home at the time of the arrest.

This is the part I can't believe. I absolutely cannot. How fucking... something do you have to be to rip away the most fundamental right from hundreds of millions of people and you don't even have the decency to put your family in a fucking safehouse. Unfuckingbelievable.
