Shady business practices were a huge problem in China due to market forces getting set loose on a billion people who were formerly in poverty.
It's gotten better over the years, and I have to imagine that the prospect of government penalties for shady conduct played a big part in it.
My credit score is near maxed and I will still never own a home. Fuck I can't even rent an apartment. My greatest hope is that someday I can take out enough credit cards to buy a van, deck it out like a tiny house and then disappear and never pay the cards off.
Tiny homes only cost about 30k to build, if you're going off grid might as well be cozy.
As someone who is 6'2", I'm really tired about hearing "Tiny Home" as a panacea for skyrocketing housing costs.
Pretty sure it's still considered tiny if you can fit it on a trailer.
I imagine it's a lot more manageable than a tent, and being able to just move your home in a couple decades when the Climate Wars start heating up will be extremely beneficial imo.
Yeah but then I gotta have land. With a van I could disappear when the debt collectors come hunting for me. I lived in a car for quite some time so a van would be a big upgrade.
