Which is funny because old school barber shops were doing massages and hot towels for centuries. It's one of the most masculine traditions. Some old ass Turkish guy or Italian cuts your hear, gives you a straight razor shave, with hot towel, and then you get a massage.
Sports clips is weird. But years ago, I found it was the best chain to go to for a cheap-ish haircut. They did a pretty good job though and the babers were pretty nice, though they werent flirty or anything. When I moved out of my mostly suburban area though I started going to locally owned barber shops with young barbers. A world of difference and definitely worth the extra 5 dollars to get a haircut.
I keep a pretty normal Crew cut though so YMMV with more complex cuts

There's a lot of different cultural expectations around haircuts. I used to live in Japan where it's totally normal to get a short shoulder massage after a cut (unless there's a huge line), so SportsClips doing that to me didn't surprise me at all.
Lots of places with that gimmick in America, all with silly pun names and different themes. There's one where I live where it's a military theme, so the waitresses do salutes and little dances. I got dragged to that place by my coworkers and they kept hitting on the waitresses. Coworkers kept calling them "baby" and "hot stuff" and 🤮
I used to work at a bar where only women were allowed to be servers or bartenders, and usually had to present in a sexy way. Thankfully, most of them were chill people and one of them even kinda stood up for me when some boomer was giving me sass as I was simply cleaning the bathrooms. Seriously, that place kinda gave me the creeps.
But hey, one time I got to learn a few cocktails from them when I didn't have much stuff to do and back when the bar was owned by a much more chill dude, he was fine with me shooting the shit if I needed a break and we weren't in a rush. Also, I actually got flirted with from a girl who called me "doll face". I'm an AMAB enby that presents pretty fem and I still smile when I remember that.
i mean that's not even their worst offenses, they're absolute chuds too. The other day one was complaining he couldn't say the n-word. They complain about homeless people too all the time.

I think there might also be general guidelines encouraging them to engage in flirty behavior (moreso than most servers normally might for tips), but idk have never been in one. Maybe that's just my brain making things up since I knew I didn't like hooters since I was a kid.
I thought the gimmick was that the waitresses were all conventionally attractive and you were "allowed" to sexually harass them without getting kicked out?
