No updates on Sundays. Aside from this reminder: Stalin, and the brave Soviet people commanded by him, saved the world from fascism.

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Add to the above list if you can, thank you.

Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

The media is saying that he's unconscious and showing no signs of life.

He has also said that Assad should step down.

He's on a fucking roll lately. For the record, I definitely do NOT oppose your almighty and benevolent rule, Bashar al-Assad, the Lion of Damascus. May you rule for a hundred years.

Do we have the classic heaven meme for fallen 2020 candidates, but this time for desposed/dead politicians that have stated opposition to Assad? Somebody should get on that if not.

Based on images the media are sharing it looks like the gun was home made out of plumbing at tape. And this is purely my speculation, but the blast going off looked like it could have been black powder rather than cordite, so it may have even been loaded with, idk, nails and scavenged black powder from fireworks.

A major political figure getting got by some plumbing and tape stuffed full of fireworks is somehow poetic.

hard, but it is one of the only types of weapons allowed at all.

the assassin's gun was homemade regardless. if I had to guess, he probably made it like a shotgun so that he could use legal ammunition.
