I agree that a lot of folks shouldn't have kids, but theres no way to enforce that without being a fascist, so the best we can do is mitigate the problem by trying to help and heal the massive amount of psychologically damaged kids
For sure. A lot of the abuse could also be prevented through economic justice, universal birth control access, comprehensive sex ed, greater awareness and integration for existing parental resources, and mental health destigmatization/availability.
I think the amount of people who are irredeemably unable to have children is actually quite small. And the majority of those people, their reasons for not being fit to have children are tied to trauma which was itself preventable
also beware of people talking about "idiocracy", that movie is essentially a huge ad for a very weird and just plain stupid brand of eugenics
