Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Add to the above list if you can, thank you.

Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ Gleb Bazov, banned from Twitter, referenced pretty heavily in what remains of pro-Russian Twitter.

https://t.me/asbmil ~ ASB Military News, banned from Twitter.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday Patrick Lancaster - crowd-funded U.S journalist, mostly pro-Russian, works on the ground near warzones to report news and talk to locals.

https://t.me/riafan_everywhere ~ Think it's a government news org or Federal News Agency? Russian language.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ Front news coverage. Russian langauge.

https://t.me/rybar ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

With the entire western media sphere being overwhelming pro-Ukraine already, you shouldn't really need more, but:

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Seeing a screenshot of Vaush saying "I want more anti-China propaganda" and then making a "one taiwan" meme to a Chinese ambassador really pissed me off. It frustrates me how he's an unknown to "normies" but influential enough in NATO online leftist spaces

I do not listen to the opinions of clowns, jesters, harlequins, buffoons, and, in general, fools - especially their 21st century equivalent: the Twitch streamer - nor care about those opinions. Let them backflip around on tightropes, fire themselves out of cannons, and put their heads in the mouths of lions, and hope that those lions bite down one day, but otherwise pay no attention.

He always trots out the line of saying "Red-Brown Alliance" when he's literally just a leftist "rose emoji"who supports every Imperialist action the United States ever takes.

      He's unironically fascist.

The tankies have been saying this forever. The real “red-brown alliance” or rather liberal-reactionary alliance is that of the radlibs and the imperialist neocons

It's important to remember that most of his viewers are screendamaged middle class teenagers and college kids, they're entrenched in the most deluded idealism possible to the point where they believe that China is incorrigible and deserves immediate violent regime change, but NATO can be reformed into a progressive, socially democratic org. They're archons of narcissism, transfixed by their own asinine thoughts like magpies staring at their own reflections. They can and will be strung along by even the most ridiculous RFA and VOA "news" stories as long as they're morally shocking enough, and they'll gladly shout down any even moderate opposition to the furthest right hawk talking points. I don't think these people will ever be a significant base in any left wing movement, in fact I think they'd back whatever violent, inhuman remnants of liberal democracy would stand in the way of a socialist movement.

Yeah all dipshits like Voosh have accomplished is getting people who aren't socialists/leftists to relabel themselves as such. No one's actually changed their politics, only the label. They see rightoids gettin' dunked on on social media and think "they're cringe" and just swap their teams designation but they still interact with the world and politics in the same way as they did when they were teen rightists.

This is why I like the Chinese Internet so much better. Plenty of streamers there of all kinds, but none of them would ever be so deluded as to leverage their platform to share their political "takes."

Uncritical support for Chinese social media censors and cancel culture posters.

Didn’t China just ban talking about certain subjects on stream if you don’t have proper education, such as medicine and law?
