Listen, as the guy responsible in case one of the pilots fucks up majorly, all my documentation says he was entirely healthy and this was a freak accident. We'd have barred him from his job instantly if we'd caught any whiff of him having mental disorders.

This feels more like a return to form of pre-9/11 hijackings. Which were pretty farcical a lot of the time.

Best case scenario is that he lands safely. The more likely scenario is that Biden makes the call, the F-35s get called in and take it out away from people.
By my very rough napkin math, he's probably got at least a few more hours of fuel left assuming the tanks were full when he stole it.
They're supposedly talking to him so I imagine the options are:
- Guide him to a safe landing at a small airport.
- Let him fly around, run out of gas & crash. (If he's away from people)
- Let him fly around away from people, hope for option 2 but blow him out the sky if he heads back towards a population.
I mean, what can they do? Shoot him down and hope he crashes in a field? That'll kill the flyer though, so that's iffy, and there is not guarantee he'll crash in an area with no people. I guess the dilemma is trying to minimize causalities from the plane being used as a weapon. But hey, I'm not a plane hijacking/potential kamikaze mission expert, I don't know what I'm talking about at all.
The commercial jets around him are tens of thousands of feet above him and also much faster than a king air, so that isn't a danger. He'll almost certainly crash into the ground, it's just a matter of where and whether he attempts to take people with him.
