What is wrong with Americans? I've seen people killed over stupid shit, but I've never seen such a pervasive cult spread so far and succeed at indoctrinating so many people.
decades of liberals standing idly by as fascists destroy public education and a big chunk of religious population credulous enough to buy into what televangelists and gweneth paltrow types are selling. Incredibly ripe conditions for that kind of bullshit that couldn't withstand 30 seconds of the critical thinking skills that these people were denied and seek to prevent children from acquiring.
The third Reich was also like lightning in a bottle for a recently humiliated Germany after WW1. The US hasn't faced an invasion like that since the 1800's and nor has it been on the receiving end of unfair treaties. It's usually the one starting them. Its standard of living is still good compared to the developing world.
