I heard that in James Stephanie Sterling's voice, thank god for them.
They're upping the monetization. All things considered the $40 skins that they have aren't too bad since they are just skins. Recently however new Pokemon have been costing more of the free currency and are locked behind the real money currency for the first week.
I didn't even realize that's how much some of the skins cost, I generally refuse to pay for cosmetic items. Played LoL for about 5 years before I ever rationalized buying any.
I didn't think it was that bad either at first since I never buy any of them. I remember there was a moment where I actually did the math at what the high level skins cost and about lost my mind
Yeah $40 is pretty obscene. Even when I would buy skins I always got them in like the $5-10 range.
Same. The most I've ever paid was for the Shadow Fiend arcana in Dota 2 because I'm a dirty Shadow Fiend spammer and it was far too cool to pass up
the $40 skins that they have
Imagine spending more on art for a pokemon than the full price tag of a different video game.
Like, I will never ever get F2P games. I've dabbled in a few of them. Hell, MtG:A is my current mobile game of choice. But 90% of why it keeps my attention (and Hearthstone before it) is that I don't actually have to pay money to enjoy it. Dropping a full game's price on a god damned singular character art... I can't even.
fucked up how we don't even have cute little hats to put on our pokemon in the mainline games
Upcoming games add this as a mechanic but it looks incredibly stupid
I don't want silly hats as a shitty eyesore game mechanic, I want silly hats as customization and player expression :powercry-2:
Have the Charizard skin in Unite that gives it a beanie and scarf and I love it.
