Yeah I tried looking up the article because I thought it would be a funny read and came up with nothing.
The screenshot looks like a joke and I'm sure it'd be relatively easy to modify an engine so that it doesn't behave traditionally and break tools like this, but the tools can be updated. As far as I can tell fans of this series have a lot of time and weeb crossover so no doubt it'd be done pretty quickly.
