This is good and cool, but I can't help being a little upset that only small fry like Alex Jones can get appropriate, proportional fines for their crimes. When's the last time you saw a corporation outside China get a fine proportioned this high against their profit?

Bernie Madoff was put in jail for life but he was a scapegoat for fucking over rich people. Aside from that, never. Thousands, if not, millions of people have died or gotten injured or sick from defective products and no one cares.

Or people dying from price gouging on functional products. Like Bernie Madoff, you only get locked up as a rich guy for fucking over other rich guys. Martin Shkreli never went to prison for jacking a cancer treatment prescription price by 5000%, he only went to prison for securities fraud. And it's only for a couple years

I'd be all too willing to see the 965 mil dropped in favor of putting this man on a concord to each school shooting and making him be there front and center to witness the horrific tragedies when they happen; have him literally pick up the dead and dying kids and putting them in ambulances. This man is detached from reality cause he doesn't have to see it, doesn't have to listen to the heartbreaking testimony from grieving families. He should be made to be present every time this event occurs and to literally be palms deep in the horror.

I'm down with this just because it would mean bringing back the concorde

I watched a segment of his fundraiser video where he went out of his way to say that none of the money raised would be for the families. This person just insists on being as awful a human being as possible.

I used to get so upset when he'd yell and scream about "I HAVE THE DOCUMENTS!" then show them asshole, prove to me the world is run by psychic lizardmen vampires sucking the souls out of mankind on a colony prison planet! :ooooooooooooooh:

Broken clock moment but there is this clip of him from a movie at least mentioning about corporate slavery and the false dichotomy between liberal and conservatives. I'm not defending Jones but at least when he was young and less well known he was a bit more coherent. Makes me wonder how much of his shit's an act for the piggies versus how much he truly believes. Also worth mentioning he infiltrated Bohemian Grove.

His company isn't bankrupt. They've filed and are attempting to reorganize but he's being a removed just like he was during discovery of the defamation trials so it isn't going well and he is very likely attempting to hide truckloads of cash

I was actually an Alex Jones fan back in high school. To someone with very little political knowledge what he says is awfully convincing. "There's a small group of powerful people pulling the strings" essentially.

Once I started fearing that the black helicopters were going to abduct me - a high school student - for reading InfoWars, and once one-too-many of his "predictions" of when martial law was going to be implemented never materialised, I took a step back and reflected that maybe this fear-mongering dipshit was actually not telling the truth.

He supposedly has a ton stashed away in crypto, which... definitely tracks. How he hopes to convert that into cash right now is anyone's guess. It's going to be fun to watch.

Iirc he got a donation of Bitcoin worth about 8mill recently. This was just before the crash but still he probably has 2 million in Bitcoin from just that stashed away on a usb.

The sad fact is that no matter what happens he will likely be able to afford a life better than most of the victim will know

A lot of those damages are punitive, and from a bunch of separate trials. Unless he put money into an ironclad pension fund, like OJ Simpson did, he's probably fucked for life.

So parents who were slandered and harassed for years get some justice and their biggest concern is that Joe Rogan might get sued. Holy shit.
