Obvs this doesn't apply to all transfems but I kinda relate to this but Idk how to put it in words exactly since gender is weird.
The way I think about myself is I like being referred to and perceived as as a girl/woman but I don't fully identify with being a girl/woman. (and in some contexts, I'm ok with being seen as a boy/femboy as well).
Cisgender ideology also makes it hard to describe gender outside the conformist binary notion.

Also, I don't know if anyone else here has browsed /tttt/ much, but I noticed that they are constantly validating non-binary identity as long as the term "non-binary" isn't used in the process.
I can see them say things such as:
And of course, posts like the one you put in OP are another example of this.
I literally relate to both sentiments that I gave in the quoted section, as well as the post in the image, but if I added "Oh yeah, and I identify as non-binary to convey this.", most /tttt/ users would be livid.
Hell, I even made a post about how I identify as non-binary, explicitly mentioned that I'm AMAB and that I'm on HRT, and I got multiple replies about how I'm a quirky teenage Tumblrina cis girl pretending to be trans for attention like they saw the word "non-binary" and neglected the rest of the post as soon as they got to that word.
I've concluded that it seems that they hate the word "non-binary" because they associate it with "cringy Tumblrina AFAB trans culture" rather than having an issue with whatever non-binary identity may manifest as in practice.
Thank fuck I stopped browsing /tttt/ and 4chan as a whole entirely.
yeah so many trans people hate on enbies and it's terrible
