we call them folks social fascists. Always being a few steps away from being fascists themselves, and always willing to walk locked-armed with them when push comes to shove.

It's just such a bloated position.

Comparing the President of the United States, the Dictator of a (short-lived) continent spanning empire, the secret police of a global superpower, and... a guy with a podcast.

Like, if this was Chapoland versus Shapiroville, sure. Fine.

Or KGBurg versus the CIA Suburbs, awesome. Spot on.

Or Obamastan versus The Kingdom of Reagan. Definitely all above board.

But Ben's a California Conservative. He's not even on the winning team in his own state. He's just a reactionary with a few well-connected sugar daddies. He doesn't have anything resembling political clout or influence over public policy. He's not a historical figure. He's not a power broker. He's just some asshole with an internet radio show.

I'm astounded at the lack of creativity on the names. It's a beautiful map and a fun premise - but the communist island has 5 puns based on just 3 Russian names? "The Red Cave"?? Two Fuhrers and two Reichs in Hitleria?? Centrists ... have NOTHING?

"The evil I could tolerate, but the stupidity!"

The centrist place looks nice and well funded, but it's empty. Which is surprisingly apt.

Honestly the entire thing looks like it was made by an AI rather than an actual human

Like it's literally just copypasting common phrases onto a map with zero creativity or connection past that

Very creative mind at work here! Leninstead, Len Inn, Fort Stalin, Stal Inn...

And I can't imagine someone actually thinks Trump is to the right of fucking Hitler.

I pointed out that putting Trump in far authright literally validates that lib talking-point. To which they responded, "authright doesn't always mean fash tho". Please release me from my earthly prison.

The political compass test believes that everything on the top edge of the chart is equally white-supremacist.

Neonazis lately are really into falling for pre-long-knives Hitler's third way propaganda, carving out a space to their economic right for a separate "fascist" identity.

they're not "falling for" it. they're pushing it because they recognize the fact that anything nazi-related has been name-casted into the trash compactor. It's literally just like when the radlibs want communists to drop everything communist-related just to become more "western-friendly"

No, the compass thinks left and right is a spectrum between socialism and capitalism, and therefore because the Nazis exercised state control over the economy that makes them less right wing, very big brained stuff you see.

why do whiterights have so much cope about cold climates?

evolve in the easiest most stable climate on earth, with the most fertile soil, full of green meadows, where winters average 40F and summers 60F

    "WE WUZ TUNDRA N SHEEEIT"
Even the winters in Beijing and Richmond are harsher than anything in Europe (excluding northern Scandinavia which is mostly populated by the more Asian Sapmi).

Is it because white is the color of snow, so they think "white = white"? I mean I wouldn't put that reasoning past them

Cold climates = smart races was a thing people believed for a while. Apparently that’s part of the reason they built the capital of Australia in the south of the country🤦🏻‍♀️

I think it’s more that, if you live in the states, most of the POCs you’re surrounded with seem far less cold tolerant than you fellow whites.

I'm actually the opposite, POC far more cold tolerant than like 90% of the whites I know

I'm pretty sure cold tolerance has a lot to do with diet and maybe with neonatal adaptation. I remember a paper where they compared Japanese and Europeans, the Europeans generated more body heat, but only because their diet was higher in fat.

For the record tho I eat a high carb moderate fat diet

Wait so MAGA Town is less authoritarian than Trump Castle?

I’m not really sure what a right-center ideology looks like, but I’m pretty sure it’s not Ben Shapiro. Like maybe Delaney? Idk.

The only way I can think to map it semi-coherently is make the question regulation - economic regulation and social regulation. This would put 'Democrats' pretty much where they are IRL around the center, the GOP high up on the social regulation and economic deregulation in the top right.

The meaning of regulation is obviously horribly vague but it would also correctly map onto the real world where there's no real bottom right constituency - there are a lot of top right and bottom left (to varying shades of how deep into each quadrant) and quite a few top lefts in the real world - but almost no one is an "economic conservative and social liberal" as they fancy themselves.
