    He's really trying to play the Trump game but lacks the charisma and genuine humor Trump had. Most people watching are laughing at him because they think he sounds insane.

      It's legitimately painful to listen to him talk, he just trips over his words and spits word salads, he doesn't have the laidback sassiness of Trump that makes him funny that's for sure. Trump was often incoherent, in that he would go on long digressions and unrelated grievances, but you could at least understand the sentences he was forming.

        Trump at least is good at making it seem like he's saying something coherent. When he's on, he has the rhythms of fluent, improvised, laid back speech down. You listen to him and think you've followed it. It's not until you read a transcript that you realize it was total word salad, because he sounds like he's saying something reasonably normal.

        Kanye sounds like a dude ranting in the subway.
