Semantic disconnect. I don't consider valentines day a holiday, It was invented by the Vatican to sell chocolate and indulgences
and yet wholesome disgustingly saccarine halloween films come out every year too :thonk-cri:
the halloween season is too short
but also it's constantly being invaded by the holidays that come after it
Halloween doesn't lead to a bunch of middle class assholes getting every photograph they've ever taken printed as a calendar to send to their relatives to immediately get thrown away, so it wins automatically.
