Fucking wasting time every day to check mark shit like “did you drink water?” “Did you eat a breakfast today?” Fuck your self. Fuck the US and its shitty insurance. Everyone in charge of the government deserves to have their kneecaps shot off

Arguments with my local techbros when they babble about their FitBits and all that and keep trying to pressure me to get one be like :wall-talk:

I've done that too. The usual response is:

"If you're doing nothing wrong you have nothing to hide!" :bootlicker:

I'm not sure why you're asking.

If this is one of those "if you have a smartphone you're already being tracked, so go full bazinga and get a FitBit and maybe chip your hand too" pitches, heard that too.

Sitting in a conversation on the train with tech bros about why I should buy a Tesla because it can drive by itself so I can relax and do other things

You ever get the extension of that conversation where they say that soon(tm) they will be able to let their Tesla collect income by being an automated taxi while they're at work? :so-true:

I have not. But it’s scary that I ironically came up with this idea independently lol

Here’s another banger. Renting out your automated Teslas to small business owners who rent it out to normal customers

So imagine a mundane motivational app where you keep track of health related tasks. Eating healthy, exercising daily, taking 9000 steps. Now, combine that with the insanity of insurance costs in the US, and you have an app that is pushed by employers for you to use in order to rack up “points” which have a monetary value, but it can only be redeemed as gift cards for specific shops and sites.

Some places will lower your insurance costs if you get x amount of points and show proof that you’ve done x amount of tasks. It’s literally gamifying health insurance.

To :freeze-gamer: brained people that is bazinga and epic and involves leveling up and epic loot. To me, it's just making the world even worse because there will be external pressure to buy into it because things will get more expensive without it.

Oh my god that sounds utterly insufferable. Adding extra tasks onto you when they're the reason you're not drinking water
