I just saw a comment on Hexbear alleging that there are very few Lurkers. I'm a lurker! I exist! I lurk because I forgot the password to my day 1 account and now am ashamed. We exist!
Lurkers are a pretty good unit, the defensive power they give you to get up your third (on maps with a ramp) is second to none and setting up the soft contain is probably my favorite way to play the matchup.
Nothing wrong with being a lurker; on any social media site, most users are lurkers. And that's fine!
You shouldn't be ashamed for being a lurker, of anything the people who should feel a shame that flenses the soul are the power posters that have been here since the beginning.

1% are posters. 9% are commenters. 90% are lurkers. This is true of every single online community that has ever existed and will remain true forever. It is just some weird thing about the way humans engage with communities on the internet. The conditions produce this ratio over and over and over again.
This is as true on Hexbear as it is everywhere else.
At the end of the day, the 1 percent may have enormousposting power. But they are just the 1 percent. When the 99 percent stand together, we can transform Hexbear.

been here since day one and this is my first account lol
the constant struggle sessions of the first year were discouraging from joining the discourse tbh but I couldn't stop myself reading through this site most days
