I have a ton of dried chickpeas, but I could get some chickpea flour if I can't make the tofu without a mill.
I get cheap chickpea flour so never even tought of getting a mill. Anyways, do some faina with green onions in the mix and some sauce on top, it's better to rehydrate the flour overnight
You probably tried unflavoured, unsweetened soy milk. All of the alternative milks are awful when unsweetened and unflavoured.

It tastes the worst but it's got the best macros and I mostly use fake milk for cooking anyway. I wish almond milk wasn't the cheapest kind available (at Costco, in bulk).
It's always tasted watery to me. Maybe I've never had good almond milk? Also it's probably still better than dairy, but the water needed for the crops doesn't feel great.
