    The antenna is right where the wireless module is on that model, so I'd hazard a guess that it's a weird aftermarket replacement unit because this PS3 is 1000% thrashed

      Theres an even worse one that has a corner chipped off.

      Another still works, but has a lot of missing parts, including the top part of the case.

        Sounds like it's had a weight reduction upgrade. They do the same thing to cars for street racing, it's basically like adding free horsepower.
