:agony-shivering: Just retire you old fucks holy shit. 57 years in the party politics machine means you can only be evil

Sorry Bernie but no over 75 should be a judge or allowed to run for office

Not to toot our own horn too hard, but in Denmark a judge is mandatorily (y'all know what I mean) retired at the end of the month where they have their 70th birthday. Of course that only applies to judges and other people in the court system, meaning that our political system is just as vulnerable to gerontocracy as the rest of the West, but I think we did something good with the law for the judges.

Of course, we don't really have judicial review, so it's a lot easier for us to regulate what a judge is allowed or not allowed to do.

        Fuck judicial review

Our court system has done a few good things with judicial review, but looking at the big picture judicial review and it's consequences have been a disaster for my nation

Through its entire history our court system has consistently ruled on the side of capital, and has largely been extremely reactionary on social issues save for a period between 1950-2020

Calling the Soviet Union a gerontocracy was a common point of attack by the West. The average age was something like 65 years at it's peak... which is the average age in the US Senate.

Every leader of the Soviet Union was dead at Biden's age...except Gorby.

Jim Inhofe (dude who threw a snowball on the Senate floor to refute climate change)

Fuckers are real excited when it snows in DC like little schoolkids, but when it's 81 degrees in DC in fucking February, they're just AFK. Hell, it was 85 in my city this past week. Broke the record for highest temperature ever recorded here in February and got the trees to start blooming. Just normal things.

    Finally!

And now was acknowledged the presence of the Red Death. He had come like a thief in the night. And one by one dropped the revellers in the blood-bedewed halls of their revel, and died each in the despairing posture of his fall. And the life of the ebony clock went out with that of the last of the gay. And the flames of the tripods expired. And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all.

Does that mean his seat is up for grabs or is it just a changing of the guard?
