We need dogwhistles of our own.

Sigh, we're gonna have to call bigotry "reverse-wokeness" aren't we? :pika-cousin-suffering:

        Anti-woke

Actually maybe just start calling them woke, since it's basically a catchall insult at this point without real meaning

Personally I think 3 weeks is a bit of a harsh deadline but that just means they really got to work for it

Because going full fash is at odds with american history ala WWII the last war where america looked good because they were beating the nazis. That's why the right has a big interest in making sure everyone knows their political enemies like antifa are the "real" nazis. That and there's a cognitive dissonance in most burger brains where they know nazis are bad but they still agree with them.

the last where America looked good

I'd argue it's the only war America looked good in. Civil War - the Union was on the right side but I wouldn't really count that one.

      why bother being so subtle?

      We still have elections.

A wildcard is the independent state legislature theory that the GOP justices will probably uphold this summer

If it's a "narrow" ruling - the result will be the GOP in red states will be able to legally pervert the electoral college of their state. How much? Who knows.

If the ruling is broader - things could get crazy. Could GOP in the states they control fuck with many state elections?

The broader the ruling - the more mask off the GOP will get.

Why even bring up Rosa Park's story at all if you're going to sweep the racism under the rug? There's nothing notable about not getting out of your seat without the context of protesting racism

A man once told Martin Luther King Jr. “one, two, three, that’s enough for me” when he was getting a drink at a water fountain. Offended, King made it his life mission to drink as much water as he wanted. Every year we now celebrate King in his success of bringing the freedom of drinking as much water as we want in America.

a new law signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis prohibits instruction that would compel students to feel responsibility, guilt or anguish for what other members of their race did in the past

It's illegal to hurt cracker feelings in Florida

So they're legally mandated to teach about black history but also they can't do it in a way that mentions segregation and white people

      Ok 👍
