    I’m guessing this is some super misleading wording where they got approval for some tiny, incremental part of this and not approval for jamming an ATmega in someone’s brain.

    Lathe time:

    Even the most diehard of blue check fanboys are either unable or unwilling to get chipped. As a PR move, Elon gets his own implant installed in a surgery live streamed on Twitter but does not wake up from the anesthesia. Placed on life support, Elon continues to communicate and run his companies remotely thanks to the brain chip. Around 2 years later, however, a staffer leaks to the press that the chip is fake and all business decisions have been made by a secret cadre of nameless investors.
