War Thunder is a game which inspire me mixed feelings, but the dopamine release I get when I one shot enemy vehicles is pretty great
I personally main the comrades of the Sovietsky Soyuz (which imo have very good and very bad points at the same time, no depression in the Soviet Union 
)
One of my favorite vehicle is the 2S3M "Akatsiya", one of the great potato lobber in this (10.12kg of TNT, in a single shell!)

I played Soviet up until the IS-2 and decided to stop cause there was something just fucked up about their armor system where they just didnt bother to make shit that destroys tanks by other means than armor penetration work and it was so frustrating.
Like you hear all about this shit where like the shells were supposedly so strong as to physically rip turrets off the armor and then in game it just hits like a big fart unless you manage to penetrate. It sucked so bad that I didn't wanna play further cause that was also roughly the point where it was just impossible to break even with currency unless you got 3+ kills in your fart launcher.
Yeah volumetric armor fucked up many things big time, the Panther's mantlet seems to be made of vibranium or some shit, it eats shells like nothing
They also removed hullbreak so your ap rounds can just go through light vehicles with no armor and do nothing
But if you send enough explosive downrange, you can overpressure a lot of vehicles (the 2S3M is a good example, you can easily overpressure a Tiger turret, even a Tiger II although you need to use your brain a little on those)

USSR ofc any other nation is reactionary. Although I like to play with British planes sometimes.
Tank I've had most success with is the T-34 and I like it because its a classic but I mostly play low BR matches these days because high BR gives me stomach ulcers. The light tanks are just so silly and fun drifting around the map getting easy kills.

Yeah I also feel more and more drawn to my 5.3 lineup, less stress overall
I hoped naval would be good but I literaly played one beta before losing interest. It could have been good, in principle it solves many of my issues with WOWS but they took too long and never even released battleships/cruisers before I lost interest.
Then the past few years we got so many decent/good naval games like Ultimate admiral and War on the sea, fuck if I ever go back to those cancerous vehicle mp games.
The main reason I hope Gunner Heat PC goes well, especially since they announced MP on their roadmap, no grind, no BR compression BS, just metal beasts fighting cute lil fellas and their ATGM launchers
Also naval is deader than dead, at least Enduring Confrontation seems to be nice but I don't have the vessels to test it
I used to play air realistic battles a long time ago, like before they added any jets. I really enjoyed energy fighting around 3 BR. The grind is just wayyyy too much ass a free player, getting a new plane and using it stock sucks so bad
